let's play catch-up.

may:
-the shit hit the fan with the SB1070 being signed in to law by dumbo, puppet lady jan brewer.
-riley turned 3 and i turned 28.
-read a book that simultaneously annoyed me and opened my mind and view myself and the world in a totally different way.
-voted for and watched prop 100 pass!
-hosted game night with fun co-workers.
-justin got an editing and writing gig with sbn.com.  super proud of him!
-was greatly disappointed by sex and the city 2.  (i will probably still buy that mess when it comes out because it completes the set.)
-went up north to strawberry to relax and craft at the cano cabin.  there was a cute little craft fair that we went down to check out and bought the tastiest homemade ice cream at the gingerbread house ice cream shop.


june:
-completed my 5th year of teaching and even felt a little sting in my eyes when my students hugged me goodbye.
-went to a plc conference in las vegas with 9 other teachers from my work.  jeane and i roomed together and ended up having to face away from each other in order to stop talking and get some sleep! funny! saw the beatles love cirque du soleil show and was more excited than a kid in a candy store (or even me in a candy store.)  learned a lot from the awesome conference that i hope will be applied to my job next year.  jeane shared this quote with me that summed up my plc learning: "if you have the knowledge and the ability, then you have the responsibility."
-started prepping happy stitches etsy shop.
- justin's band finally returned to the stage for their cd release show!
-had numerous art days with the girls.  makes me happy!
-went to jamaica for vacation! (more on that later.)
