ok. it's getting serious now. this extra weight is not so extra anymore. it's apart of me and i need to get it in check. i am too short to gain more weight! i fear i am looking more and more like a sphere everyday. my new year's goal was to not gain anymore weight and here i am with four more pounds added on. this is not a "oh, i need to be healthy and take care of my body and look amazing in a bikini" kind of thing. it's strictly a, "damnit! my closet is filled with cute stuff i haven't worn in years and i've spent too much money on it to just give these beautiful pieces away!" situation. it's so sad that my wardrobe is taking a hit. and also, i will NOT buy double digit pants. i won't. i'll squeeze my big ass into the single digits and sport the muffin top as long as the seams can take it.
it comes down to, "you are what you eat." well then, this is what i am: husband's homemade yumminess along with dinner dates at our favorite restaurants, happy hours with great friends, and many, many delicious family dinners. do i want to cut back on these traditional bonding moments? nope.
so now it comes down to this: exercise! exercise and i have a bad relationship. the only exercise i can stand is dancing and yoga. i have to get into a bathing suit soon, so this exercise business is what's going to have to pull me through. i pray that someday complaining about gaining weight will be exercise enough to get rid of it.

Jessica! I will help you! You don't have to give up all the fun stuff- you just have to make better menu choices. For example, a stupid margarita is super high calories so you can sub it for a low calorie beer (lame, not my choice) and vodka/soda/lemon is a great low calorie choice. I try to talk myself out of getting the mac and cheese for a hearty salad often. I can help you if you need tips! :)
My phone hasn't rang asking me to work out with you!
