valentine card swap.

This month's card swap was of course Valentine's Day related. I was glad for it because I don't make cards for this holiday otherwise. I stamped the love stamp on plain white cardstock, glued on some thick black and white ribbon, layered a paper doyle on read card stock, and used another cutesy stamp from my stampin' up collection. It is busy and frilly but I love it anyway. The stamp says, "just my type" and i wasn't sure it went with the "love" stamp but after a while I didn't care. Cuteness always wins.

I have been meaning to send out the cards I received from the swap to some of my fam but that requires motivation. Aside from classroom activities, I am just not into this holiday. There are many cute Valentine projects on the web that have caught my eye, but after I'm done making them what will become of them? More junk to store? I know I am being a total Negative Nancy, but I don't get this "day of love." Maybe it's because I get it everyday from my oso. I'm spoiled!
